Toddlers learn through play. So when they are playing they are learning! The more focused and engrossed they are in an activity, more they are getting from it. They may be practicing physical skills, strengthening what they know or making new connections. The Early Years Foundation Stage’s- Characteristics of Effective Learning are listed below in three sections. If your toddler is doing any of the bullet points during play, you can be sure they are learning form it!

I wasn’t sure where to leave this, so I hope it is ok to post it here.
I didn’t see contact info for you. But I wanted to share my new blog with you, since you are following the one on wordpress.com
My name is Renee and I am the owner of A parents and nanny’s guide to everything early childhood. You followed my blog on wordpress.com.
I have since moved to wordpress.org self hosted, and it didn’t transfer all of my followers, so I have no one seeing my posts. I would love to have you follow the new blog, if you would. If not I completely understand I just wanted to reach out and let you know that there is a new site. It is the same URL it is just on wordpress.org instead of wordpress.com. Gives me a lot more options, and so far I am loving it.
