What happens when you add a couple of cups of sand to salt dough?
You get a lovely gritty beach dough! Great for moulding and making shell impressions!

This sounds like a wonderful idea…I would love to try it! Did you add the sand in place of the salt, or in addition to it? Would you mind sharing the recipe you used? Thank you so much!
Hi Lara, we used a very simple salt dough recipe: 1 cup of plain flour to ½ cup table salt to ½ cup of cold tap water and threw in of ½ play sand. But it’s best to keep adding sand little by little until you get something you are happy with. We also chucked a bit of sand on top too when we were playing with it. Have fun! 🙂
