We have a use for all those odd socks! Bubble Snakes. Cut the bottom off of a small plastic bottle. Pull a sock tight over the bottom. Dip it in dish soap and water…and blow!
Dip the end in paint to make bubble prints too. Simples!

It is grated soap (1 bar) or soap flakes, warm water (couple of cups) to make a soapy slime and 2 toilet rolls. Squish the toilet roll until you get a clay.

This can employ even the youngest adventurer for quite a while. A board or box lid. Double sided tape, on to which you put sticky back plastic (the kind used to cover school books), sticky side up of course!

Plastic wrap/cling filmed picture frames work so well because its fun to have children painting on both sides! A bit of finger paint and shaving foam goes a long way and washes off of windows easily!

What I like about this is you get to hear the note, see the vibration, and paint all at the same time! The paint gets everywhere, which makes it fun, and each elastic band vibrates at a different frequency and so has a different pitch, depending on how tight it is.
